Sand roof tent 220XL

The rooftoptent 220 XL is the robust big brother of our 140 L. With a sleeping surface of 220 by 230 cm, it is suitable for four people. This 400 gram cotton roof tent features two ladders and a spacious canopy over the two entrances. Due to this, it is possible to close an extension at the bottom of the roof tent. This extension provides privacy and gives you the opportunity to enter the roof top tent without being seen or getting wet. Without the extension it is still possible to enter the roof top tent without getting wet.

At Dare To Be Different, our goal is to achieve the optimal living environment in our roof top tents. The double roof system creates an additional layer of insulation. The additional layer is the top deck, which creates the layer of insulation on top of the normal roof. Due to this, the temperature on hot days in the roof tent remains comfortable. During cold nights, this extra layer retains heat loss. The double roof system also protects the tent from rain. If you're going into a really cold environment, we can supply a cotton inner sky, which creates a second layer of insulation. The inner sky can stay in the roof tent when it is folded.

Another important part of a comfortable living environment is ventilation. The roof tent is equipped with 2 ventilation openings and 2 windows, both with an awning, providing good ventilation during rain. The windows are equipped with mosquito nets that facilitate additional ventilation. Both roof top tent entrances are also equipped with mosquito mesh doors. This allows optimal ventilation for the roof tent.

A comfortable mattress is an important part of a good night's sleep. There is a six centimeter thick mattress in the roof tent. Due to the mattress length of 230 cm, this roof tent is extremely suitable for taller people. Around the mattress there is a zippered and washable cover made of 100% cotton. In addition, the roof tent is equipped with various practical compartments to store a phone, glasses or a flashlight at night.

The 220 XL is the largest roof in our range. The rooftoptent weighs 75 kg and is only available in sand yellow. Both the tarpaulin and the poles are heavier than the 140 L and 140 S. Due to this weight in combination with larger dimensions, this tent is particularly suitable for ATVs and vans.
