LRA Fuel Tank for Land Rover Discovery IV
Maximize the adventure capabilities of your Land Rover Discovery IV with the Long Range Automotive (LRA) auxiliary fuel tank . Designed to integrate seamlessly with the Discovery's architecture, this tank is the indispensable ally for long-distance journeys where refueling isn't an option.
High-End Engineering and Design
True to LRA's reputation, this tank has been developed using CAD/CAM technology to take advantage of the chassis's free space without compromising the vehicle's off-road capabilities.
-
Additional Capacity: Adds an extra 110 liters of fuel to your original capacity.
-
Premium Materials: Constructed from 2mm aluminized steel , offering superior protection against corrosion and impacts on demanding routes.
-
Precision Welding: Executed with full penetration MIG welding for lifetime watertightness and structural strength.
Functioning and Technology
This system is designed to be as reliable as the vehicle itself:
-
Transfer System: The auxiliary tank includes a high-efficiency transfer pump , allowing fuel to be transferred to the main tank with just the push of a switch from inside the vehicle.
-
Total Control: It is supplied with an LED level indicator that allows monitoring of the auxiliary fuel status in real time.
-
Internal Design: It incorporates a system of internal partitions (breakwaters) that prevents the inertial displacement of the fuel, maintaining the stability of the vehicle on slopes and during abrupt maneuvers.
Integration and Security
-
Fit Guarantee: It is installed by taking advantage of strategic gaps in the chassis, generally under the trunk (requires relocation of the spare wheel if it is located on the lower exterior).
-
Passive Safety: The design respects the original safety systems and does not protrude from the chassis lines, maintaining excellent ground clearance.
-
Australian Reliability: Expertly manufactured in Australia since 1989, ensuring that each unit can withstand intensive use on 4x4 expeditions.
